Castle Kilbride
National Historic Landmark
Baden, Ontario
Castle Kilbride was the home James Livingston, co-founder of the Dominion Linseed Oil Company. The "castle" as it became known is one a few intact Italianate buildings throughout Ontario. One of the main features of this circa 1870's mansion is the exquisite trompe l'oeil painted features throughout the entire house. Working in conjunction with C.A. Ventin Architects, we restored the existing lighting and sourced historically appropriate lighting where required. Now a national historic landmark, Castle Kilbride is located in the hamlet of Baden Ontario( west of Waterloo) and is open to the public. |
