Spadina House

Toronto, Ontario

Formerly the mansion of the James Austin Family,  the Victorian/  Edwardian elegance of Spadina House has retained its original character and furnishings for over 120 years. Bequeathed to the city by the Austin Family in 1984, the Toronto Historical Board painstakingly restored the mansion which is now one of Toronto's cultural landmarks. One of the last remaining buildings in Toronto to have functioning gasoliers, the museum is a stone's throw away from another Toronto icon. Casa Loma. As a business specializing in antique lighting and restoration, we were honoured to have undertaken the extensive restoration of Spadina House's heritage lighting.
